Vogal Maternity

This shoot turned out great! Again, the threat of rain loomed over us throughout the week, but thankfully it held out and we can dry skies and dry ground. Courtney and Matt are due in 2 weeks with their wonderful baby girl Laila. Their shoot was fun and full of laughter. The couple is silly, funny, and full of love. I loved being able to take some great candids of the double just being themselves :)

I asked them to look at each other while in this pose...this is what I got :) I hope baby Laila has a full personality like her parents!

 I was amazed by this awesome idea! Courtney clipped all of Laila's hair bows to a ribbon to tie around her belly!

 Will Laila be daddy's little sports fan, or mommy's diva?

 We had so much fun playing around with silly poses!

 Monroe joined us for the shoot and made sure he took claim of mommy's belly!

Maslow Maternity

I am so pleased with the way this shoot turned out! The weather was forecasted to rain and storm all weekend. I kept checking the hour by hour weather report throughout the day, and gradually luck was in our favor. Thankfully, the skies parted, the sun came out and the ground began to dry just in time for a lovely maternity shoot. We navigated around Tanglewood Park to find the best spots of summer to document their baby on the way. Congratulations Andrea and Alex!

Baby Hill is on the way!

I was so excited with the way this day turned out! At the very end of fall, entering into winter I was hoping there was still some fall leaves left on the trees to give a nice backdrop to the Hill's maternity shoot. They wore the perfect colors to match the only tree left in Old Salem that still had leaves yet to fall. Melanie and Robert are ready for their baby girl to arrive, and it is apparent on their smiles and pure joy that they are excited for her arrival. This couple was so full of love for each other and for their unborn baby. I can't wait to meet the Baby Hope :)

Sarah and Joe: Maternity

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity so early in my career to photograph such a variety of subjects. This shoot with pregnant Sarah and her husband, Joe, was a great time! The weather at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons was perfect for the time of year. We went out early in the morning to avoid heat stroke and sweat beads. The sun was at the right angle and produced just enough heat for us to stand. This couple photographs so well and they picked the perfect colors to wear (which only helped my pictures turn out better!)
